Requirements of Registration
We make every effort to ensure registration of your Caspian is as easy as possible in order to maintain an inclusive pedigree.
As a breeder, you should familiarize yourself with the breed standards and use them as a guide in selecting breeding pairs.
When you have a foal, use our registration checklist to guide you through our process and learn what to expect.

Purebred and part bred Caspians born after 2015 must be DNA typed and parentage verified.
We acknowledge that not all Caspians worldwide have been DNA typed and parentage verification may not be possible with older horses. Therefore, horses born before 2015 only need to be DNA typed. Parentage testing will still be completed on horses with available DNA information.

To assess the health of the breed, we track production, who is producing, and where breeding populations live.
Date of birth must include month, day, and year.

Location of birth must include the city, state/province, and country.
Note: Our online studbook only lists date of birth and country, and names and addresses are not entered or shared.
